PCM and ADPCM are different audio codes.  PCM has 

better audio quality, but requires higher bandwidth (8Kbps).  
ADPCM has slightly less quality and requires less bandwidth 
(2Kbps). If you are viewing the camera via Internet, we suggest 
that you set the audio to ADPCM.
