3.4 Booting from the DataStation

Complete the following steps:

1. Activate the partition on the DataStation .

2. Copy system files to the DataStation .

3. Activate the BIOS-option ”Boot from USB-HDD”.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

TrekStor is not aware of any way to install Windows on

the DataStation , as Microsoft does not support booting from USB-media. You can,
however, boot from the DataStation by installing DOS/FreeDOS on it as explained
in this chapter.

3.4.1 Windows 9x/ME

Step 1: Activate the partition on the DataStation

Step 2: Copy the system files to the DataStation as follows
