
Electricity – Risk of Electric Shocks!

Keep the appliance away from moisture.
•
The appliance is not suited for use outdoors.
•
Do not use the appliance in rooms containing easily ignitable dust or poisonous and explosive
fumes.
•
Connect the appliance only to a socket that is properly installed and corresponds with the technical
data of the appliance (see the "Technical Data" section).
•
Use only the accessories included in the scope of supply or recommended by the manufacturer.
•
Do not use extension cables.
•
Remove the mains plug from the mains socket if you are not going to use the appliance over a
longer period of time, before a thunderstorm, and before you clean it.
•
If you would like to remove the mains plug from the mains socket, never pull the cable, but rather
the plug.
•
Have a damaged connecting cable repaired only by the manufacturer, the customer service
department (see the "Customer Service" section), or an electrician.
•
Do not operate the appliance unattended!
Appliance-specific Safety Precautions
•
In the interests of your own safety, inspect the appliance for damage every time before use. In case
of defects, the appliance may no longer be used until serviced by a specialist.
•
Do not take the appliance apart and do not try to repair it yourself, but rather contact the customer
service department (see the "Customer Service" section) or a specialist.
•
Before using the appliance always check the floor cloth for wear. Do not use it if it shows any signs of
wear or if it is damaged! It could damage your flooring!
•
Use the appliance only when it is completely assembled and operational. Before every use, check
whether the water reservoir is damaged.
•
When refilling water, changing the floor cloth, or cleaning the appliance, disconnect it from the
power mains.
•
Only use distillated water in the tank!
Danger of Fire
•
Position the cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come into
contact with hot surfaces.
•
Keep the appliance away from flammable materials, like curtains, etc.
•
Allow the appliance to cool down completely before storing it.
Caution in Regard to Material Damage
•
Do not use any caustic or abrasive agents to clean the appliance. These could damage the surface of
the appliance. As required, wipe down the appliance with a dry, soft cloth.
•
Never immerse the appliance or mains cable in water or other liquids.
•
Never direct the steam at one spot for too long.
•
Always use the floor cloth!
