This manual outlines all necessary instructions for the safe and the correct operation of the
TOPAL equipment.
PRIORITY INSTRUCTIONS
For safety’s sake and efficiency of the equipment, you must become familiar with these
instructions and adhere to them before any use of the equipment.
The clamp can be used only by skilled and entitled personnel
Never transport people using this equipment or its accessories.
Never exceed the working load limit WLL (see engraving).
A minimum load of 5% of the WLL must be respected
Never weld on the equipment or alter it.
Never use the equipment for any lifting other than the type it is designed for.
Never go under the load.
When laying down a load, the object must be stable before opening the clamp.
Regularly check the correct condition of the equipment (see Storage & Maintenance
paragraph).
Lifting operations can only be done when the environment is free of obstacles
Only TRACTEL SOLUTIONS spare parts must be used.
DESCRIPTION AND APPLICATIONS OF THE EQUIPMENT
CC :
Lugs for lifting containers by the standard ISO corners.
Slanted pulling: containers lifted from the bottom used with a single lifting beam.
Vertical pulling: containers lifted from the top or bottom used with a spreader frame.
TO :
Hook for lift cable drums.
The hooks are designed to be used in pairs with shackles and 2-legged sling (rope, chain or
strap).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

SLANTED PULLING:
1) Suspend the single lifting beam with 2-legged slings and lugs to the lifting eye of the
overhead traveling crane.
2) Take one of the lugs and insert it vertically into the oval aperture of the standard ISO
corner of the container as shown in the sketches enclosed.
3) Repeat the above operation for each lug.
4) When every lug is in place, raise the single lifting beam with 2-legged slings and lugs
slightly to check that every lug is correctly in place.
