To pull on a travsafe™ slider to try and release it
from an obstacle.
– To connect to or disconnect from the travsafe™
lifeline steel ropes at any other location than that
provided for the purpose.

To pass the fall arrest system lanyards over sharp
angles or to allow them to rub against rough
surfaces.
– To use a travsafe™ slider on a travsafe™ lifeline
that has not undergone periodical inspection for
over a year, by a duly approved technician who has
issued written permission for its use.
– To use a travsafe™ slider on a travsafe™ lifeline if it
has not undergone prior verification.
– To use a travsafe™ slider on a travsafe™ lifeline
other than as defined in the «Lifespan» section of
the lifeline manuals.
– To install and use more than 5 sliders on a
travsafe™ lifeline.
– To use opening travsafe™ sliders on a travsafe™
lifeline installed under an overhang.
– To use travsafe™ rollsafe sliders on a travsafe™
lifeline installed on the ground, on a wall or on
stanchions.
– To use travsafe™ rollsafe sliders on a travsafe™
lifeline installed under an overhang if such a line is
equipped with at least one corner anchor.

To use a travsafe™ slider for an operator whose
weight, equipment and tools included, exceeds
150 kg.
–
To use a travsafe™ slider for a load, equipment
and tools included, of between 100 kg and 150 kg
(total weight of user, equipment and tools) if any
component of the fall arrest system has a lower
maximum operating load.
6.
Maintenance and storage
The travsafe™ sliders covered by this manual must
be stored and transported in their original packaging.
During storage and/or transportation, these sliders
must be:
•
Kept dry,
•
Kept at a temperature of between -35°C and +80°C,
•
Protected against chemical, mechanical or any
other potential damage.
7. Disposal
When disposing of the product, it is mandatory to
recycle the various components after sorting metallic
materials and sorting synthetic materials. These
materials should be recycled to specialised centres.
During disposal, dismantling to separate components
should be achieved by a duly trained person.
8. Marking
The traveller is marked as follows:
a: the trademark: Tractel
®
;
c: the reference standard followed by the year of
application, EN 795-C: 2012;
d: product reference: XXXXXX;
e : the CE logo followed by the No. of the body
mentioned in Article 11 B production control 0082;
f: manufacturing date on daisy wheel;
g: the serial number, e.g.: 14xxxxx device
manufactured in 2014;
h: a pictogram indicating that it is necessary to read
the manual before installation and use;
w: Operating load Limit.
9. Equipment compliance
Tractel SAS, RD 619-Saint-Hilaire-sous-Romilly – F-
10102 Romilly-sur-Seine France hereby declares that
the safety equipment described in this manual :

11.
Periodic inspection and repair
An annual periodical inspection is required, but
depending on the frequency of use, environmental
conditions and regulations of the company or the
country of use, periodical inspections may be more
frequent.
Periodical inspections shall be carried out by
an approved and competent technician and in
accordance with the manufacturer’s examination
procedures as laid down in the file «Verification
procedures for TRACTEL
®
PPE».
Verification of the legibility of the marking on the
product is an integral part of the periodical inspection.
