When removing the jack, loosen the bolt
and remove it. When storing, install the
bolt until the jack is firmly secured to pre-
vent it from flying forward during a colli-
sion or sudden braking. To remove the spare tire:
1. Open the back door, and you will find
the spare tire clamp bolt cap near the
back door latch.
2. Remove the cap.
3. Loosen the spare tire clamp bolt with
the wheel nut wrench.
4. Unlock the clamp from the tire holder
while lifting the holder slightly up. The
spare tire will drop to the ground.
When storing the spare tire, put it in place
with the outer side of the wheel facing up.
Then secure the tire by repeating the
above removal steps in reverse order to
prevent it from flying forward during a col-
lision or sudden braking.
If you put a compact spare tire into the tire
holder for a standard tire, you will need a
stopper to keep the tire firmly in place.
