Installing memory module in Slot B
Follow the steps below to install a memory module.
1. Set the computer to boot mode and turn off the power.
2.
Remove all cables connected to the computer.
3.
Turn the computer upside down and remove the battery pack (refer to Chapter
6, Power and Power-Up Modes.)
4.
Remove one screw securing the memory module cover.
5.
Slide your fingernail or a thin object under the cover and lift it off.

6. Lift one side of the insulator sheet and fit the module’s connectors into the
computer’s connectors at about a 45 degree angle. Press the module carefully
to ensure a firm connection.
CAUTION: Do not touch the connectors on the memory module or on the
computer. Debris on the connectors may cause memory access problems.
7.
Push the module down so it lies flat. Latches on either side will click into place
to secure the module.
