1.4 Combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM
The Combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive accepts 12-cm (4.72-inch) and 8-cm (3.15-inch) discs.
At maximum, the drive can play back a DVD at 8x speed, read CD-ROM at 24x speed, and
write CD-R at 24x speed, HS CD-RW at 10x speed, US CD-RW at 24x speed and CD-RW at
4x speed. The Combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive interface conforms to Serial ATA.
The Combo CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive is shown in Figure 1-6 and its specifications are listed
in Table 1-2.
