4.1 Registering the DN311
The procedures for registering the DN311s in using them connected to the S controller
are as follows:
Register DN311s in the target station using the Engineering Tool.
Concrete examples are given below by way of explanation. It is assumed that the
system folder (DN311TST), station folder (DN311TST) and controller folder (S3-TEST)
have been registered in advance.
(1) Starting registration
Select [Station DN311TST] in the folder column of the Product View menu of the
Engineering Tool, and double-click [Station Configuration].
The station's configuration editor starts to open the hardware configuration menu.

Supplementary Note
• Before registering DN311s, register target systems, stations, and controller folders in the
Engineeringg Tool.
• Register DN311s before creating a program that uses DN311s.
