Troubleshooting
If you’re having trouble, or have any questions about your Digital Media Server, consult
the troubleshooting steps available in Chapter 9 of this guide.
The Troubleshooting screens provide tips that may help you troubleshoot various
problems. Use CHAN UP/DOWN to see all of the text on the screens.

Parental Controls Troubleshooting
provides instructions for using Parental Controls.

Phone Troubleshooting
can help if connections to the TiVo service are unsuccessful.

Channel Troubleshooting
provides channel changing help if you are using a satellite
or cable box. The tips at the top of the screen are for cable or satellite boxes that attach
to the DMS through a serial connection. Use CHAN UP/DOWN to see the second set
of tips, which deal with cable or satellite boxes using IR (infrared) connections to the
