Connecting to a Home Network Using a
Wireless Network Adapter
Use this example if you have a home network that includes a wireless access point (WAP)
or wireless router, or for each DMS in a wireless peer-to-peer network. You can leave
your DMS plugged in while you connect a network adapter.
To connect a wireless network adapter to your DMS:
1.
Connect to the adapter.
If it is not already attached, connect one end of the USB
cable that came with your wireless network adapter to the port located on the back of
the adapter.
2.
Connect to the DMS.
Connect the other end of the USB cable to the USB port on the
DMS. The power light on the wireless adapter may come on before the cable is
completely inserted into the USB slot. Make sure you push the cable all the way into
the USB slot.
Do not use the CDs that are included
with your network adapters to set
up your DMS. These CDs are intended to
load drivers and network adapter software
on your personal computer.

The cable may already be attached
to your wireless network adapter.
