Check the following guide for the possible cause of a problem before
contacting service.
The player does not turn on. The buttons do not work.
• Battery is not loaded or the battery is exhausted.

Load battery or replace the battery. (page 12)
• The player is locked by the HOLD switch.

Return the HOLD switch back to its normal position. (page 44)
• The
button was not pressed in for more than 1 second.

To turn the power on, press it in for more than 1 second.
• The player is connected to a computer.

Any operation other than turning the power off is not available when
the player is connected to the computer.
Playback does not start.
• There is no playable audio data in the internal memory or the SD
memory card.

• The supplied headphones are not connected firmly.

• The volume is set to the minimum.
