Adjusting the Fill Reduction
System (FRS) Baffles
The fill reduction system has been designed to allow
you to reduce the amount of clippings collected
by varying degrees. The advantages include less
frequent emptying of the hopper and the return of
nutrients to the soil.
The following are possible configurations:
•
Baffles open with standard blades—maximum
collection
•
Baffles closed with standard blades—partial
mulching
•
Baffles closed with mulch blades—intermediate
mulching
•
Mulch plug installed with mulch blades—complete
mulching (requires mulch kit)
Adjust the FRS baffles as follows:
1.
Park the machine on a level surface, disengage
the PTO, and engage the parking brake.
2.
Shut off the engine, remove the key, and wait
for all moving parts to stop before leaving the
operating position.
3.
Loosen the bolts attached to the rubber guard
(
).
4.
Fold the guard forward.
