Rotate the discharge chute left and right to free
it from any ice buildup.

•

With the key removed, pull the recoil-start handle
several times or connect the electrical cord to
a power source and the machine and push the
electric-start button once to prevent the recoil
starter and/or the electric starter from freezing up
(electric-start models only).

•

In snowy and cold conditions, some controls and
moving parts may freeze. Do not use excessive
force when trying to operate frozen controls. If you
have difficulty operating any control or part, start
the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
