Engine Speed Control Handle

The engine-speed-control handle (

Figure 7

allows

the operator to start and shut off the engine. It is
located on the engine cowl, and is connected to the
engine-speed-control knob, which is located on the
engine (

Figure 8

). To control the engine-speed-control

handle:

1.

Rotate the engine-speed-control handle
counterclockwise to unlock it.

2.

Pull it all the way out and lock it by rotating it
clockwise.

3.

Rotate it counterclockwise and push it in to stop
the engine.

Note:

The speed-control knob on the engine must be

loose (rotated counterclockwise) for the cowl-mounted
speed-control handle to work.
