Auger and Traction Assemblies

Separating the Auger and Traction Assemblies

1. Park the machine on a level surface. Stop the engine, wait for all moving

parts to stop and remove the key.

2. Remove the 2 (1/4–20 x 5/8 inch) screws securing the belt cover to the

traction frame.

3. Remove the belt guide around the crankshaft pulley, avoid bending the guide.

4. Remove Phillips screw on the face gear cover. Remove the face gear cover.

5. Disconnect the chute control cable.

6. Disconnect the deflector cable from the deflector.
