After the first 8 hours
• Change the engine oil.
• Check the hydraulic-fluid level.
• Change the hydraulic fluid and filter.
Before each use or daily
• Check the safety system.
• Check the engine-oil level.
• Clean the air-intake screen.
• Check the parking brake.
• Clean the mower deck.
Every 25 hours
• Clean the foam air-cleaner element.
• Check the belts for wear or cracks.
• Check the hydraulic fluid-level.
Every 50 hours
• Check the paper air-cleaner element.
• Check the tire pressure.
Every 100 hours
• Change the engine oil (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
• Replace or clean and gap the spark plug.
• Check the battery.
• Check the hydraulic hoses.
Every 200 hours
• Replace the paper air-cleaner element.
• Change the engine-oil filter (more often in dirty or dusty conditions).
• Replace the fuel filter.
Every 250 hours
• Change the hydraulic filter and hydraulic fluid when using Mobil® 1 fluid.
Every 500 hours
• Change the hydraulic filter and the hydraulic fluid when using Toro® HYPR-OIL™
500 hydraulic fluid.

Refer to the engine owner’s manual for additional maintenance procedures.
CAUTION
If you leave the key in the switch, someone could accidently start the engine and seriously
injure you or bystanders.
Shut off the engine and remove the key from the switch before you perform any maintenance.
