Transmission bypass valves

The mower is now in a freewheel condition and
can be towed for a short distance at slow speed.
Note:
Remove the wheel chocks before towing.
9.
After towing the mower:
To return the mower
to its normal working condition the following
procedure must be done:
A.
Chock the front wheels.
B.
Close the bypass valve on the transmission
pump by turning it clockwise.
10.
Commission the front wheel motor disc
brakes as follows:
Note:
Ensure that the M12 x 40 mm
setscrews and washers are removed and stored
underneath the operator platform.
A.
Identify the right-hand front wheel motor
disc brake assembly.
B.
Rotate the setscrew counterclockwise and
remove together with the washer.
C.
Assemble the hex plug into the motor end
plate (

Identify the left front wheel motor disc
brake assembly and repeat the previous
procedure.
E.
Remove the wheel chocks.
F.
Disconnect the tow bar.
Note:
The mower braking system will now
operate normally.
WARNING
Operating the machine without brakes could
result in serious personal injury.
Before using the mower, ensure that the
braking system operates correctly. Carry out
initial checks with the mower at slow speed.
Do not operate the mower with a damaged
braking system. Do not operate the mower
with the brakes decommissioned.
