a) Charging the Rechargeable Battery

1  Place the charging station on a clean, even, secure, stable and heat-resistant working

surface.

2  Insert the correct end of the soldering iron into the charging station. The on/off switch must

be switched to

0

 (off).

3  Connect the charger’s round plug to the charging station’s connection socket.
4  Connect the charger’s power plug to a suitable power outlet. The LED on the charger lights

up red to indicate the rechargeable battery-operated soldering iron is charging. Charging

takes approx. 3-4 hours depending on the charge state of the rechargeable battery. The

LED on the charger lights up green when the rechargeable battery is fully charged.

5  Unplug the charger’s power plug from the power outlet.

b) Handling

1  Remove the soldering iron from the charging station. Switch the on/off switch to

heat up. To solder, hold the soldering iron like a pencil while pressing the on/off switch. The

red power indicator by the on/off switch and the white working light near the soldering tip

light up. The soldering tip is heated as long as you press the on/off switch.

3  Release the on/off switch during short pauses while soldering. During longer pauses, switch

the on/off switch to

0

.

4  Place the soldering iron on a heat-resistant surface while it is cooling down.
5  After the product has cooled down to room temperature, replace it on the charging station.

Observe the correct position of soldering tip and contacts.
