• Press the left-hand button (
L
). The current setting will be displayed. One of the 5 LEDs (
H
)
will flash. The LEDs located to the left of the flashing LED will stay constant. The flashing LED
indicates the current setting. If the leftmost LED flashes, this indicates that the setting is 20%.
If the rightmost LED flashes, this indicates that the setting is 100%.
• To change the setting, press the left-hand button (
L
) repeatedly until you reach the desired
value at which automatic watering should stop.
• To save the setting, press the right-hand button (
K
).
• The sensor will revert to displaying the current soil moisture.
• The LEDs will turn off automatically after 20 seconds. The soil moisture sensor will then revert
to the normal mode.
c) Placing the sensor
After configuring the sensor, insert it with the three measuring probes into the ground in the
area where you want to water.
Setting up the gateway
a) Setup
• To set up the gateway, connect the output plug on the power adapter to the corresponding
socket (
Q
) on the gateway.
• Plug the power adapter into a mains socket. The gateway will switch on automatically. The
status LED (
O
) should flash red quickly. In this state, the gateway is ready to connect to the
app.
If the status LED (
O
) slowly flashes red, reset the gateway to the factory settings.
• To continue with the setup, follow the instructions for the app.
b) Positioning
Place the gateway near the water timer and the soil moisture sensor. In addition, the gateway
should have good Wi-Fi reception.
c) Restoring factory settings
To reset the gateway to the factory settings, proceed as follows:
• Disconnect the gateway from the power supply, wait 5 seconds and reconnect the power
supply.
• The reset must take place within 10 seconds after applying the power supply!
• Press and hold the recessed „
RESET
“ button (
P
) on the back of the gateway with a pointed
object for approx. 10 seconds until the status LED (
O
) lights up red continuously for approx.
5 seconds. Then release the button again.
• When the status LED (
O
) flashes quickly in red, this indicates that the process is complete. If
the LED flashes slowly, hold down the „
RESET
“ button (
P
) again for approx. 5 seconds until
the LED flashes quickly.
Overwintering
At temperatures close to or below freezing, the water timer must be promptly removed from the
tap. Allow residual water to drain out. Remove the batteries from the battery compartment and
store the water timer in a dry, frost-free location over the winter.
In the event of frost, the water will freeze inside the water timer; the higher volume
of ice will destroy the water timer and void the warranty!
Setup, configuration and operation
To continue with the setup, configuration and control of the irrigiation system, use the „
Smart
Life - Smart Living
“ app and follow the app instructions.
Cleaning and maintenance
The coarse filter protects the valve in the water timer from larger impurities. Check for dirt at
regular intervals and wash it under clear water if necessary.
There are no serviceable parts in the water timer – never open or disassemble it (except for
inserting/replacing the batteries as described in these operating instructions). Maintenance,
repair and associated dismantling may only be carried out by a specialist or a specialist work
-
shop.
Use a dry, clean, soft and lint-free cloth to clean the water timer.
Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as
these may damage the housing or prevent the product from functioning properly.
