9. Before operation
1. Perform an equipment check.
- Look for worn parts, chipped or bent teeth/blades.
- Make sure dirt or debris is not blocking moving parts
2. Check the area to be cut.
- Clear away any stones or solid objects.
- Make sure there are no power cables, water hoses, pipes, gas lines etc. that can cause damage or injury if cut.

Always switch the power off and remove the battery when finished using. Only then is it safe to check the
blades for damage, replace cutting heads, put away for storage, or replace the blade covers.
• Always attach the blade covers after use.
• Wear protective gloves during use. Blades are sharp and can cause serious injuries!
• If you notice strong vibrations, sparks or unstable operation during use, immediately switch the power off
then disconnect the battery. Check if anything is lodged between the teeth and if there is any damage to the
blade e.g. chipped, bent or broken blade teeth.
• Read the safety instructions before use!
a) Power on/off
The safety lock-off prevents the tool being started unintention-
ally.
1. Slide the safety switch forward then pull the power trigger.
2. Release the trigger to switch the power off.
