c) Switching on and off
• Switch on the station via the mains switch on the rear (switch position I = on). After switching on, OFF appears on
both displays.
• Press the red switch on the front of the station to start the heating process (soldering iron = left / hot air nozzle =
right).
When the hot air nozzle is in the holder, it is in standby mode. SLP (sleep mode) appears on the display.
The heating process starts only when you remove the hot air nozzle from the holder.
When you replace the hot air nozzle in the bracket, the heating process is stopped and the fan stops after
90 seconds.
If the message EEE appears on the left display, turn off the station. Disconnect the soldering iron and
reconnect it with the station. Make sure that the plug is connected correctly and that the cap nut is hand-
tight. Turn the product back on. If the message EEE persists, the soldering iron is defective and must be
replaced.
• To stop the heating process, press the red switch again. OFF appears on the display.
• After use, switch off the product with the power switch on the rear (switch position O = off).
d) Setting the temperature
The temperature for the soldering iron and the hot air nozzle can be adjusted independently from one another.
• Press the + button to increase the temperature by 1 degree.
Press the – button to reduce the temperature by 1 degree.
Press and hold the button to fast forward.
• With the slide switch, you can switch the display between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F).
e) Setting the air volume
You can set the air volume of the hot air nozzle with the knob.
• Turn the knob to the right (clockwise) to increase the air volume.
• Turn the knob to the left (counter clockwise) to decrease the air volume.
