Allow the appliance to cool down for a few minutes.
Continue with the procedure in ‘Using the appliance’.
USING THE APPLIANCE
Fill the pot with water.
Pour the water from the pot into the water reservoir. The water level indicator
shows you how much water is required for the desired number of cups of coffee.
The water level must not go above the ‘max’ mark.
Close the lid.
NOTE
If you accidentally put too much water in the reservoir, it overflows at the rear. Make
sure that the appliance, the plug, the power cord and the work surface are
thoroughly dry before you use the appliance.
Place a commercially available filter
in the filter reservoir and use the measuring
spoon to add the amount of coffee powder appropriate to the amount of cups you
want to brew.
The filter reservoir must be engaged; otherwise the pass-through valve might not be
open.
Connect the mains plug to an appropriate wall outlet and start brewing coffee by
pressing the Power ON/OFF switch.
If you leave the device switched on, the tray will keep the coffee warm after
finishing brewing. The whole working process will last 40 minutes. After 40
minutes the unit will be automatically shut off and stop working. You can manually
press the power switch again to switch on the appliance.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
WARNING:
Before cleaning the appliance, always switch it off, unplug it from the electricity
supply and allow it to cool down completely.
Cleaning
Do not clean the appliance with an aggressive or abrasive cleaner or with a sharp
object, such as a hard brush or a knife.
Remove the coffee dregs from the filter.
Clean the exterior of the appliance with a damp cloth.
Dry the outside with a dry cloth.
Wash the coffee pot, the filter and the pivoting filter in hot water with a small
amount of washing-up liquid.
Dry these components thoroughly.
Regularly descale the appliance. Depending on the hardness of the water, scale
deposits may become attached to the inside of the appliance. The harder the water,
the more often it is necessary to descale the appliance.
Descaling
Use a descaling product intended for household appliances (such as coffee
makers).
Follow the instructions on the package.
After descaling, switch the coffee maker on a few times with a full water reservoir
but without ground coffee, in accordance with the procedure in ‘Using the
appliance’. This removes any remaining limescale and residues of the descaling
agent.
