RIDING THE QUAZAR

Once you have completed the initial charge you are ready to ride. Remember, this is not a toy. Your Electric scooter

can

reach speeds up to 15mph depending on the terrain and the weight of the rider. You must wear a helmet and
protective pads. You must

also be aware of all local laws and ordinances that govern

or restrict the use of powered

scooters.  The  laws  and  ordinances  vary  greatly  from  municipality  to  municipality.  It  is  your  responsibility  to
know and abide by your local restrictions.

To ride, turn the power switch lock to the "on" position. The Po

wer switch is located on the left side of the body of

the scooter. The battery gauge, located next to the thumb throttle will illuminate when the power is on:

Hold onto the handlebars with both hands. Your fingers will control the brakes and your right thumb will control the throttle.

Assume a well-balanced position on the scooter and push off with your foot. As you depress the throttle lever with your
thumb your speed will increase. Release the thumb throttle and apply the brakes to stop your scooter. You will control the
speed of the scooter by using both the throttle and the brakes. When the brake handle is squeezed it cuts power to the
throttle.

NOTE: When  the scooter  is parked, press the power switch button ‘in’  to  the "off'” position; this will avoid anyone from
accidentally pushing the throttle causing the scooter to speed forward. Failure to do this could lead to an accident.

I

The Power switch button is the red button on the controller. Pushing the button in will hold the button in and lock out the

motor controller. Push the button again and the button will stay out allowing the thumb throttle to work.

Always ride on dry paved surfaces. Wet and uneven surfaces are a hazard. Sand, loose gravel and dirt are dangerous.

Charge the battery after each ride. Depending on the load (weight of the rider), terrain and the speed at which
you travel, a fully charged battery will last for about an hour.

MAINTENANCE

Battery:
The scooter is powered by a minimum of three 12 volts, 7 Amp hour, rechargeable, sealed lead acid batteries connected
in series and delivering 36 volts of power. Some models have higher rated and longer lasting batteries that are compatible
with the charging system. The charging system is only designed for sealed lead acid batteries. No other type of battery
can be used with this charging system. Do not use any other type of battery unless you completely convert to the charging
system required by the batteries that you are using. The charging system is critical to the safety of the system. Systems
that are not compatible can cause fire, explosion or worse. Do not do it.

Other than recharging, these batteries need no maintenance and they are sealed. Make sure that the battery connections
are tight and do not have any corrosion. Make sure not to use your scooter in a wet environment such as rain or heavy fog
that might promote a short to occur. Do not break the seal on the battery since there is acid in the battery that can cause
injury or damage if touched or spilled. To prolong battery life, do not store the scooter in areas where the temperature will
regularly fall below 40F or rise over 100F.
