application disconnects the motor. Check to make sure the connections did
not come loose in the battery box. Replace the brake assembly disconnect
interlock. This comes as part of the either the front or rear hand brake
assembly. Check the wire out. You may be able to change, repair, or solder
the wire to make the repair. This is a big safety issue and something that
should be checked on a regular basis. You do not want that strong 350 watt
motor running at full speed while you are trying to brake.
Problem
Scooter is losing speed within just a few minutes
Possible conditions. 1. Low battery. 2. The temperature is in the freezing range and
you left your scooter in an un heated space. 3. The temperature is over 100F and
the unit is over heating.
Possible Solutions 1. Recharge your battery for 4-6 hours. Power is good
again. If power is still low check the charger or the battery needs
replacement. 2. Bring the scooter into a conditioned space and bring the
temperature up slowly. Lead acid batteries do not like low or high
temperatures because of the electro chemical nature of the storage device.
Problem
The front brake is pulsating when I apply pressure to the hand brake.
Possible conditions 1. The rim is bent. 2. The axle bolts are loose
Possible Solutions 1. Carefully check the rim by picking the front wheel off of the
ground and spin the wheel. If the rim is bent, replace. 2. Carefully check the axle
bolts. The wheel assembly should spin freely and not drag. You do not want to
over tighten the axle bolts and place high side loads on the wheel bearings.
Problem
The power indicator by the thumb throttle does not illuminate when the scooter is on.
Possible conditions 1. Battery is discharged. 2. Fuse is blown
3. Loose connection inside the scooter.
Possible Solutions 1. Recharge your scooter 2. Check and replace the fuse (30
amp slow blow) 3. Open the battery compartment. Visually inspect all wire
connections making sure there are no loose wires. Replace thumb throttle. If the
lights do not come on but everything else works then it is your choice if you want
to change the throttle.
