IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances especially when children are present, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or
injury to persons, including the following:
1. READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
2. To protect against electrical shock, do not submerge the mixer or allow AC cord to
come in contact with water or other liquids.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance
by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any
appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
4. Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before
assembling or disassembling parts and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug
and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts.
6. Do not operate any electrical appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after
appliance malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return
appliance to nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
7. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer
may cause fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces, including
the stove.
10. Do not place hand mixer on or near a hot gas or electric burner.
11. Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away from beaters
and out of container during operation to reduce the risk of injury to persons, and/or
damage to the mixer. Never add to container while appliance is operating. Container
must me properly in place before operating appliance. A scraper may be used, but
must be used
ONLY
when the unit is not running and unplugged.
12. Before washing the beaters, remove them from the mixer.
13. Do not use hand mixer for other than intended use.
