GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug.
(2 blades and 1 pin) If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet
contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use
an adaptor.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
2. Remove all packaging.
3. Water boiled for the first time should be discarded.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. Open Lid and fill Kettle through the Lid opening, with a minimum
of .7 litres of water. (MIN level)
DO NOT
attempt to fill the Kettle while it is on the Power Base.
DO NOT
use for other than boiling water. Other liquids will contaminate
the interior of the Kettle.
DO NOT
fill past the MAX level indicated on the water level gauge on the
side of the handle. Overfilling may cause water to spill out when boiling.
2. Close Lid
3. Place Kettle on the Base making sure it is correctly engaged on its base.
4. Plug Power Base cord into a 120V AC wall outlet. Note: Never plug
power base with empty Kettle into the electrical outlet.
5. Depress On/Off Switch at the top of the handle. The Indicator Light will
light up to indicate that the Kettle is in the boil cycle. Once the water has
boiled, the On/Off Switch will switch to the 'Off' position and the Light
will go out.
6. If you want to use the Kettle again, allow the thermal safety switch to
cool down for 15 to 20 seconds then depress the On/Off Switch to the
'On' position. If the On/Off Switch does not remain in the 'On' position,
the water is hot enough to use without reheating.
7. Unplug cord from wall outlet before lifting Kettle from Power Base. Only
grip the Kettle by the Handle as all other surfaces and Lid will be hot.
