Viscosity
The viscosity of the engine oil should be in accordance with your regions
temperature. The figure on the right provides a guideline for selecting the
proper engine oil.
Changing engine oil and cleaning oil screen
Crankcase capacity is 1 quart.
You should change your oil at 300km and then every 4000km thereafter.
Use the following steps when changing your engine oil:
1. Park the scooter on a level surface using the center stand.
2. Remove the plug/oil gauge stick and oil screen cover (1), then remove the
draining screw.
3. Remove the oil screen (3) and spring (2).
4. Clean the oil screen.
5. Reinstall the drain screw, oil screen, spring and screen cover.
6. Refill the crankcase with proper engine oil (see chart in upper right).
7. Reinstall the oil plug/oil gauge stick.
8. Start the engine and allow to run for a few minutes at idle.
9. Shut down the engine and recheck the oil level and also that there are no
oil leaks.
