CPU Speed, CPU Clock Multiplier, CPU/PCI Clock Select
The motherboard allows users to set the CPU speed through
the BIOS. The parameters in setting the CPU speed include
CPU Clock
Multiplier and CPU Clock/PCI Clock .
In the initial setup, the system automatically detects the bus speed (front
side bus) of the CPU (66MHz or 100MHz). Press the
↑
and
↓
keys to
change the CPU speed or press the PageUp or PageDown key to see the
selections for CPU Clock Multiplier and CPU/PCI Clock Select.
CPU speed configuration examples:
A. CPU-frequency auto-detect
CPU Speed : 300MHz (100x3) CPU Speed : 233MHz (66x3.5)
Options for 100MHz bus : 300MHz (100x3) Options for 66MHz bus : 200MHz (66x3)

NOTE: Overclocking could cause the system not to boot. When this
happens, turn off the computer by pressing the power button
and turn it on again by pressing the Insert key and the power
button simultaneously. Then press the Delete key to enter BIOS
Setup and configure the CPU speed.
CPU Warning Temperature
This field sets the threshold value for the CPU warning temperature. An
alert is sounded through the system’s speaker when the CPU temperature
exceeds the set value. The function prevents overheating and damage on
the CPU.
