7.7  Windows 98SE Audio Driver Installation 

1. Insert the driver CD disc to the CD-ROM drive. The CD-ROM 
autoruns and displays the selections available. Click on 

VIA M/B Drivers

 

and the following window appears. Click 

VIA 686A PCI Multimedia 

Audio Driver

. 

 

 

2.  When the 

Welcome

 screen appears, click 

Next

 to proceed with the 

audio driver installation.  

 

3. The 

Select Components

 window will appear. Click 

Next

 to install the 

audio driver. 

4. After the necessary files are copied, click 

Finish

. 

5. When Windows has restarted, a message will appear prompting you to 
insert the Windows 98 CDROM. Insert the Windows 98 CDROM and 
click 

OK

. After the necessary files are copied, restart your computer for
