MAINTENANCE
Caution: Always isolate the PSU from the mains electricity before
installing or carrying out any maintenance to the pump.
Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your pump and we recommend that you clean it
frequently to avoid any loss in performance or damage to the motor. Ensure algae, marine fauna
and any other detritus does not foul or block the blades of the impeller or the guard as this will
cause excessive noise and will damage the motor.
A blocked impeller could also reverse
the flow direction, causing the pump to draw in water rather than pump it out.
The impeller should be regularly checked for signs of degradation and replaced as necessary.
Please note:
The impeller is not covered under the guarantee.
How to Clean the Pump
The pump comes apart easily for maintenance.
1. Unplug the pump from the mains electricity supply.
2. Carefully slide the magnet from the outside of the aquarium.
