Short messages (SMS)

But form the phone's standby mode you can press the 

 key 

 

 

"SMS" to see the message centre of your phone.  

In the section "Received SMS" you will see all SMS which you re-
ceived and which you did not delete. Unread messages are tagged 
with "NEW". 

Sending an SMS 

Beside the option of answering a received SMS you can also write 
and SMS messages yourself. 

In case the subscriber you wish to send an SMS to is saved in your 
telephone book as a contact, open the phone book from the stand by 
mode of your phone by pressing the

key, then select the person 

you wish to send the SMS to with the cursor keys, then press the dial 
key, and then select "Send SMS" from the menu. After you have fin-
ished writing your SMS you will just have to press the dial key to send 
the SMS (with or without saving it to the phone). 

If the person you wish to send the SMS to is not in the phone book, 
from stand by mode press the 

 key, then "SMS", and then "Write 

New SMS". After finishing writing your SMS press the dial key. The 
you will be asked to enter the phone number of the person you wish 
to send the SMS to and after pressing the dial key the message will 
be sent. 

Note:  

In case you select "Send and Save" after writing an SMS 
the short message will be sent and at the same time saved 
to "Sent SMS".
