SAFETY
RULES
BEFORE USING THE MATTRESS YOU MUST TALK TO YOUR
DOCTOR IN ORDER TO DETERMINE ANY CONTRAINDICA-
TIONS FOR USE. THE MATTRESS SHOULD NOT BE USED
WITHOUT CONSULTING A DOCTOR. THIS IS DUE TO THE
RISK OF ADVERSE EFFECTS, IN PARTICULAR:
– IN PATIENTS ON CERVICAL TRACTION
– WHERE PATIENTS HAVE MULTILEVEL INSTABILITY OF
A GIVEN SEGMENT OF THE SPINE
IN PATIENTS WITH A PACEMAKER, THE PUMP SHOULD BE
PLACED AS FAR FROM THE CHEST AS POSSIBLE.
ONE MATTRESS SHOULD ONLY BE USED FOR ONE PATIENT.

NO REHABILITATION PROCEDURES SHOULD BE PER-
FORMED ON THE MATTRESS.
OTHER PEOPLE SHOULD NOT SIT ON THE MATTRESS.
THE MATTRESS MAY ONLY BE USED ON FLAT SURFACES.
THE MATTRESS SHOULD BE PROTECTED AGAINST SHARP
OBJECTS AND SHOULD NOT BE LAID DIRECTLY ON BED
SPRINGS OR BED FRAMES WITH SHARP EDGES.
THE AIR PUMP SHOULD NOT BE USED IF THE POWER CORD
OR PLUG IS DAMAGED, OR IN CASE OF APPARENT PROD-
UCT FAILURE, FOR EXAMPLE, INSUFFICIENT PUMPING
FORCE. THE AIR PUMP SHOULD NOT BE CONNECTED TO
DAMAGED EXTENSION CORDS OR ELECTRIC OUTLETS.
KEEP THE MATTRESS FROM TOUCHING HEAT SOURC-
ES AND DO NOT PLACE THE AIR PUMP CLOSE TO HEAT
SOURCES. KEEP AWAY FROM OPEN FLAMES AND FLAM-
MABLE SUBSTANCES.
THE PUMP SHOULD NOT BE USED IN AN IMPROPER OPER-
ATING ENVIRONMENT OR COME IN CONTACT WITH WATER
OR OTHER FLUIDS.THE AIR PUMP SHOULD NOT BE PLACED
UNDER THE BED OR IN PLACES WHERE THE AIR FLOW TO
THE AIR PUMP MAY BE LIMITED, E.G. UNDER BEDDING. THE
AIR PUMP COVER MUST NOT BE REMOVED DUE TO THE
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK.
