Cooking takes a long time.
Are you cooking items
one after another?
If the oven is used to cook a number of
items one after the other, the heating
elements turn on and off more frequently
which may increase the cooking time.
8
Leave the door open so that the oven can
cool down before cooking the next item.
8
Is there oil from food
inside the toaster oven?
If there is oil spattered over the interior of
the oven, the overheat protection thermo-
stat does not operate normally and food is
not heated correctly. Make sure you clean
the oven after use.
8/10
Cannot close the door.
Is the oven rack
inserted correctly?
Insert the oven rack correctly.
7/10
Food is not cooked evenly,
or the surface the oven is
placed on is burned.
Does the crumb tray
need to be cleaned?
Make sure you clean the crumb tray after
use.
10
Is the crumb tray
inserted?
Make sure the crumb tray is securely
inserted before use.
10
The oven does not cook.
(The upper and lower heat-
ing elements do not turn
red.)
Is the plug connected
to an electrical outlet?
Plug in the oven to an electrical outlet.
7
Steam comes from the
oven.
Are you cooking bread
or other food that con-
tains water?
There is a gap between the main part of
the toaster oven and the door to allow
steam to escape. When toasting bread or
other food that contains water, steam may
come out of this gap. This is not a mal-
function.
Smoke or an odor
comes from the oven.
Is this the first time you
are using the oven?
When using the oven for the first time,
you may see smoke or there may be an
odor. This is not a malfunction.
As you use the oven more, any smoke or
odor should decrease.
Is the crumb tray, oven
rack, baking pan, or
the interior of the oven
dirty?
Make sure you clean the appliance after
use.
