If the level controller will not go into AUTO mode, it is most likely because the vehicle’s parking rake has not been
applied, the vehicle is in gear, or the ignition is off. NOTE: Due to the sensitivity of the leveling sensors, any noticeable
movements within the vehicle can cause difficulty while leveling is in process. Therefore, if you are inside the vehicle
while it is leveling, please sit quietly or walk lightly.
When the AUTO button is pressed the AUTO indicator flashes until the cycle is complete. Then the indicator remains
on. The system first detects the lowest corner of the vehicle then lowers the remaining corners to it.
If the system determines that it is unable to lower the vehicle to level,
any corners that are low will then be raised to the level of the highest
corner. If the system is unable to achieve level, the SLOPE indicator
will be illuminated.
Once leveling is complete (after 20 seconds), the system goes into “low power” mode indicated by the occasional
flashing of the AUTO and POWER indicators. The system will awaken periodically to recheck level (every 2 hours by
default). If this is not desired, simply turn the system off when leveling has completed. For more information on the air
leveling system please refer to the specific manufacturer’s literature located in the Owner’s Information Package.
Electric Steps
The Allegro Bus is equipped with electric, two-step, doorsteps (Figure 9-6).
The rocker switch to operate these steps is located in the passenger
console box. When the power switch for the steps is in the “on” position,
simply open the door and the steps will automatically extend. Detailed
operation for the electrical, three-step, doorsteps is as follows:
1. Turn the step power switch “on.”
2. Close the door. The step should retract and lock into the
UP position.
3. Open the door. The step should extend and lock into the
DOWN position.
4. Turn the step power switch “off.” The step should remain in an extended position when the door is closed.
Turning “off” the power with the step retracted will hold the step in a retracted position, as well.
5. With the step extended, turn the step power switch “off” and close the entrance door. Turn the vehicle ignition
switch “on.” The ignition override system will go into effect and the step will automatically retract.

Caution
If the motor home is driven with the step in the extended position, there is the
possibility of causing major damage to both the step and the motor home.
