Chapter 2 Safety

All statements regarding safety of operation and technical data in this user
guide will only apply when the unit is operated correctly. Please read the fol-
lowing warnings and cautions carefully before operating the device. 

WARNING

DO NOT use the device for anything other than its intended use.

WARNING

DO NOT take the unit apart. The pinhole wheel blade is fragile and may

break during handling.

WARNING

DO NOT expose the pinhole to excessive laser power. This may damage

the product. See Specifications Chapter for maximum input power.

WARNING

DO NOT switch on the laser when mounting the motorized pinhole wheel

onto the laser source. This may cause injury due to laser radiation. Make

sure the laser source is off.

WARNING

The motorized pinhole wheel is not assessed according to IEC61508:

Functional Safety, and should not be used as a safety component.

WARNING

In case of software failure, turn off the laser source.

WARNING

DO NOT operate in wet or damp conditions.
