Safety

 Attention 

All  statements  regarding  safety  of  operation  and  technical  data  in  this  instruction
manual will only apply when the unit is operated correctly as it was designed for.

Optical  power  density  out  of  the  output  connector  or  fiber  tip  may  be  hazardous  to
human eye - do not look into the connector or fiber aperture.

All modules must only be operated with proper shielded connection cables.

Only with written consent from

This  precision device  is  only  serviceable  if  properly  packed  into  the  complete  original
packaging  including  the  plastic  foam  sleeves.  If  necessary,  ask  for  a  replacement
package.

MxxxF1 - Fiber coupled mounted LED, xxx stands for the wavelength, see section Technical
Data

Optical Fiber 

We  recommend  to  use  MMF (multimode  fiber). Connection to  MxxxF1 must  be  made  via  a  
SMA fiber connector.

Optical output power is specified for a 400µm MMF with a numeric aperture of 0.39 at the max.
allowed  LED current. Optical power increases  proportionally  to  the  core  diameter and  nearly
with the square of NA.

Parts List

Inspect the shipping container for damage.

If the shipping container seems to be damaged, keep it until you have inspected the contents
and you have inspected the  MxxxF1 Series mechanically and electrically.
