To view a tape and explore the recordings, to view a
still image and retrieve particular scenes in the
accelerated play mode, to rewind to the beginning or
wind fast forward to the end of a tape.

Load a tape.

When the picture is poor, adjust the phase (page 17). If the colour is not reproduced
properly, try another standard (PAL, SECAM or MESECAM) selectable in the PICTURE
menu (page 17).

The inner knurled knob JOG and the outer ring SHUTTLE fitted to the front of some video recorder
models facilitate sequence and image by image retrieval. Use the outer ring for accelerated forward
or backward play and the inner knurled knob to explore a given sequence image by image,
backward or forward.

Indices allow you to mark particular tape sections (beginning of films, sequences, etc.) to retrieve
them quickly. At the beginning of every recording, the video recorder automatically marks an index
on the tape. To find the following or previous index:

Switch the video recorder to STOP.

The video recorder immediately rewinds up to the searched index and starts to play if
you have ended your entry by pressing PLAY (
