Inserting your smart card
1. Take your smart card from its packaging (if you have not already done so) and hold
it so that the picture is facing upwards, with the arrow pointing towards your set-
top box, and the 'smart' patch is facing downwards and at the end away from you.
2. Insert the smart card into the smart card slot of the front panel of your set-top
box. Insert it as far as it will go, without forcing it.
Taking care of your smart card
• Do not remove and re-insert your smart card unnecessarily.
• Do not bend your smart card; keep it away from children and pets.
• Do not put your smart card in liquids or use cleaning fluids on it.
Connecting to the mains supply
1. Once you have safely made all the other connections, connect the DC plug of the
DC pack to the DC input on your decoder as shown in the diagram below.
2. Connect the mains plug of the DC pack to the mains wall socket
3. If there is a switch by the mains wall socket, switch it on.
4. Connect your other equipment to the mains supply.
WARNING
DO NOT connect the mains plug to the wall socket until you have made
ALL the other connections.
Notes:Your set-top box operates with 12 V DC power supply.
The only way to disconnect your set-top box from the mains is to remove the AC adaptor from
the mains wall socket.Your set-top box must therefore be installed near to the mains socket-
outlet, which should be easily accessible.
