What to do when ...
Should your THOMAS GENIUS S1 ECO AQUAFILTER not function to your satisfaction first check by means of the check list given below whether
the cause of the irregularity is just a small matter before you contact the Customer Service Department.

General (all functions)
The appliance cannot be started up
– Are the mains connection cable, plug and plugbox in order?

Before checking, disconnect
the main power supply plug and only have any necessary repairs carried out by an authorised
specialist
– Is the appliance switched on?
➔
Check
Dust vacuuming
Dust is discharged when vacuuming
– Has the AQUAFILTER system been installed in accordance with the operating instructions?
– Is suffi cient water in the dirty water tank and is the intake fi lter fully immersed in the water bath?

Check
– Is the intake fi lter blocked directly by dirt or are the nozzles blocked in the intake connector?
➔
Dismantle and clean or rinse out with water.
Suction power slowly deteriorates
– Is the HEPA fi lter blocked?
➔
Clean the HEPA fi lter.
– Are nozzles, suction tube or suction hose blocked by coarse dirt?
➔
Flexing the tube during
operation will release any dust and dirt blocking the tube and clear the stoppage.
Inadequate suction power
– Is the Aqua injection nozzle blocked in the intake connector?
➔
Dismantle and clean or rinse out with
water.
– Is the HEPA fi lter blocked?
➔
Clean HEPA fi lters.
– Are nozzles, suction tube or suction hose blocked by coarse dirt?
➔
Flexing the tube during
operation will release any dust and dirt blocking the tube and remove the stoppage.
– Is the housing cover properly locked?
➔
Check.
– Is the mechanical suction power controller on the hand grip open?
➔
Close the slider on the hand grip.
A large number of drops of water
have collected on the inside of the
housing cover
– In all probability there is too much dust in the AQUAFILTER system
➔
Clean the AQUAFILTER system, renew the water
Liquid vacuuming
The suction power decreases suddenly – Is the dirty water tank full (fl oat has responded)?

Empty the tank.
– Is the appliance standing at an angle (and has the fl oat responded?
➔
Stand the appliance up
straight and switch the appliance off and on again.
Is water escaping from the blow-out
openings on the appliance
– Is the fl oat in the dirty water tank dirty and is the fl oat switch no longer functional, i.e. it does not
respond when the tank is full? Clean fl oat and hinge.
– Has the dirty water tank been fi tted together with the anti-swash insert, wet fi lter and motor
protection fi lter? -

Switch off the appliance immediately, dry the appliance and fi t missing parts.
An unusually large pool of water has
collected in the suction chamber (a few
drops are absolutely normal)
– Are the seals and sealing surfaces extremely dirty?
➔
Clean.
– Have you forgotten to fi t the wet fi lter for the anti-swash insert.
Is residual moisture to high, liquid is no
longer sucked up properly
– Is the mechanical suction power controller on the hand grip open?
➔
Close the slider on the hand grip.
