CHARGING THE HEATING SYSTEM
As long as the heating system is being charged, it must remain disconnected from the electric network by
unplugging the socket plug from the power point. The charge pressure in the cold state must be between 1 and
1.5 bar. Charging must be performed slowly to let the air bubbles escape through the respective bleeding valves. In

, water for the first charging and also for replenishment must be transparent,
colourless, without suspensions, oil and chemically corrosive admixtures, it cannot be acid (pH lower than 7) and
of a minimal carbonate hardness (max. 3.5 mval/l). Shall the aforementioned requirements not be observed, damage
to the pump, heat exchanger or other boiler components can occur.
The manufacturer is not liable for any such damaged components or for clogging of the heat exchanger and
the warranty does not apply to these types of defects!
Heating system charging can be performed by means of an integrated valve controllable from the bottom part of
the boiler (near the recuperative water inlet). Valve needs to be closed after charging to the required pressure is
obtained.

SELECTION OF THE REGULATION AND CONTROL ELEMENTS
The boiler is fitted with basic control and safety elements, as shown by the following diagrams of connection.
Room temperature regulation in a chosen reference room, equitherm regulation of the heating water or the
combination of both can be used as a further extension to the regulation options.
The manufacturer offers a whole series of thermostats for room temperature regulation: e.g. Honeywell CM 707,
CM 907, or Electrobock PT 21, PT 30 etc. An outdoor THERM Q01 sensor is supplied by Thermona for an
expedient equitherm regulation.
An intelligent THERM RC 03 programmable regulator for high-quality regulation can be installed which
continuously communicates with the microprocessor of the boiler's automatics by way of the IU02 interface. Apart
from the transmission of information on the required heating system temperature depending on the room and
outdoor temperatures, also information concerning the boiler operation are displayed (operating mode, output,
temperatures, potential defects etc.). This system disposes of numerous parameters for an optimum control of the
heating unit with the boiler output modulation that can be both adjusted and displayed.
Recommendation
:
The operation of a separate boiler (without the equitherm regulation option) ought to be controlled at least by a
simple room thermostat. Room temperature is constant over time and maintains the boiler in longer operating
modes. The performance of the boiler thermostat setting is recommended in the transition periods (autumn, spring)
to 60°C, in the winter period to 80°C. It is expedient to make use of the integrated option of equitherm regulation
either in a separate form or complemented by a room thermostat (see below).
The above-mentioned extension regulation systems
do not form part of the boiler delivery

PUTTING INTO OPERATION
! The boiler can be put into operation only by a service engineer authorized by the manufacturer !
The following measures must be taken prior to first ignition of the boiler:
check whether the heating system is charged with water and whether the system is properly deaerated
check whether all valves are open
open the gas cock and test the tightness of the gas distribution in the boiler.
The procedure during the first boiler ignition is as follows:
set the output temperature regulator to maximum
connect the cable socket plug to the electric network and start the boiler by the operating mode knob
