Making Contact Closure with an Accela LC System
lists the firmware for the Accela LC devices supported by the Xcalibur 2.0.5 or higher
data system. The LC Devices software CD contains the instrument control software for these
devices. For information on making contact closure between the modules of the LC system,
refer to the
Accela Getting Connected
manual.
To connect an Accela system to the LTQ Series MS detector, you must have the LTQ/LXQ
interconnect adapter cable (P/N 60053-63037) shown in
, in addition to the
7-connector LC/MS interconnect cable (P/N 60053-63034).

To connect an LTQ Series MS detector to an Accela LC system
1. Connect the 8-pin connector with hood (labeled MS/LC) end of the LTQ/LXQ
interconnect adapter cable to the connector labeled M/S of the 7-connector LC/MS
interconnect cable.
2. Connect the open, 6-pin end (labeled LTQ/LXQ) of the adapter cable to the START IN
connection on the lower-right side of the MS detector, as shown in
Table 7.
