OPERATING SEQUENCE

Replacing a Septum

Materials required:

•

septum

•

tweezers

WARNING!

he injector fittings may be hot. Make sure the injector is at room temperature before

replacing the septum.

1. Remove the septum cap from the injector.

2. Using tweezers, remove the septum from the septum cap.

3. Place a new septum in the septum cap.

CAUTION

To avoid contamination, do not touch the septum with your hands.

4. Gently tighten the septum cap onto the injector assembly until finger-tight.

Do not overtighten the septum cap. The septum will deform and may be
difficult to penetrate with the syringe needle.
