Specifying the TCP/IP Settings and the BCD Board
Location
Because the Agilent 1100 Series devices query the computer or work station for the stack IP
address only during their startup procedure, complete the following procedures, ensuring that
the Xcalibur Home Page window is open before you turn on the Agilent 1100 Series devices.
Assigning Contact Closure Control to the Autosampler
To assign contact closure control to the Agilent 1100 Series autosampler
1. Depending on the Xcalibur data system version you are using, do one of the following:
• For Xcalibur 2.2.x and later, choose
Start > All Programs
> Thermo Foundation
x.x
> Instrument Configuration
to open the Thermo Foundation Instrument
Configuration window.
• For Xcalibur 2.1.x, choose
Start > All Programs
> Thermo Foundation 1.0 >
Instrument Configuration
to open the Thermo Foundation Instrument
Configuration window.
• For Xcalibur 2.0.7 or earlier, choose
Start > All Programs
> Xcalibur > Instrument
Configuration
to open the Instrument Configuration window.
2. Under Available Devices, double-click the autosampler icon to add the device to the
Configured Devices box.
3. Under Configured Devices, double-click the autosampler icon to open the configuration
window.
