Installing the LightPipe Flow Cell

The UV/Vis detector ships in one of two configurations, depending on which flow cell the 
customer orders (see 

Table 3

). 

.

The LightPipe flow cell is packed in a small, separate box within the UV/Vis detector 
shipping carton. In addition to the LightPipe flow cell (with a protective cap on each end), 
this small box contains a plastic bag with the inlet and outlet tubing and fingertight fittings,

To install the LightPipe flow cell, follow these steps:

Before you install the LightPipe flow cell in the detector, connect the inlet and outlet tubing.

To connect the inlet and outlet tubing

1. Remove the protective end caps from the LightPipe flow cell.

CAUTION  

Use only PEEK™ fittings to connect tubing to the LightPipe flow cell. The 

appropriate PEEK fittings are included in the LightPipe flow cell kit. See

CAUTION  

Do not touch the ends of the LightPipe flow cell. This could damage the 

sensitive optics. If you must grasp the ends of the flow cell to remove it from the 
assembly, use clean, talc-free gloves.
