9. At the alternator, connect harness wires:
•
RED/WHITE lead to the B+ positive terminal on the back of the alternator, add the small brass
washers on each side of the harness ring terminal on the B+ stud and torque to 6.0 N•m
(44-53 lb-in)
•
BLACK lead to the (B-) negative terminal on the back of the alternator and torque to 6.0 N•m
(44-53 lb-in)
10. Secure all harnesses and wires adequately with cable ties.
11. Install nameplate on unit battery box (if equipped) or at unit battery connections on truck’s battery.

12. Reinstall the harness fuse, reconnect the battery cables and switch unit controls to the on position.
