TO CLEAN

Water container:

Dishwasher safe (top rack only) – hand wash is recommended.

Rinse with clear water.

Valve cap:

Hand wash with warm soapy water. Rinse with clear water.

Baskets and adapter ring:

Dishwasher-safe (top rack only). Rinse with clear water.

Bottle warming unit:

Always turn OFF and unplug before cleaning. Wipe surface

of unit as well as inside of warming chamber with a damp cloth or sponge using
mild liquid soap. Wipe with clear water. Air dry. Do not immerse in water. Do not
use scouring pads, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these could damage the unit.

Warming chamber:

Mineral deposits (usually white in color) may form on the

inner surfaces of the warming chamber and can cause damage to the unit. To

remove them:

      1.  Unplug the unit.

      2.  Remove the basket, and wash separately as indicated above.

      3.  Pour 2 oz. vinegar into the warming chamber and let it stand for an hour or

            two (longer if necessary).

      4.  Pour out the vinegar and rinse the chamber two or three times by pouring

in, then emptying out, 3 or 4 oz. of plain tap water.

Do not immerse the Bottle warmer unit in water. Wipe dry or air dry.

6.    Allow unit to cool before removing warming chamber basket.

7.    Do not operate this unit with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance

malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner.

8.    The First Years® does not make, offer, or recommend any accessory

attachments for this unit. The use of any kind of accessory attachments may

        cause injuries.

9.    For household use only. Do not use outdoors.

10.  Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.

11.  Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner.

12.  Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing hot liquids.

13.  Do not use this unit for anything other than its intended use outlined in

        this manual.

14.   This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To

reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit into a polarized

outlet only one way. If it does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not

attempt to modify the plug in any way.

15.  This product does not require preheating.

16.  A short power-supply cord (or detachable power-supply cord) should be used

to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a

longer cord. Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are

available and may be used if care is exercised in their use. If a longer

detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used: the marked electrical

rating of the cord set or extension cord should be at least as great as the

electrical rating of the appliance; and the cord should be arranged so that it

will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by

        children or tripped over unintentionally.

17.  The user should not attempt to service or repair the unit.

18.  No serviceable parts inside.

19.  Permanently Installed - Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before

putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.

20.  Save these instructions for future use.
