HERE'S HOW
1. Wrap the center part of the wire five
times around one arm of the horseshoe
magnet and carefully pull the magnet
out of the coil of wire.
2. Position the coil above the compass.
Tape the wire to the paper as shown in
the illustration. Then, as you did in the
last experiment, tap the wire ends
against the battery terminals. Keep
your eye on the needle.
