HERE'S HOW
1. Fill a bowl with water as you did in
Experiment 28, place the bar magnet on
the polystyrene disk, and let the disk
float in the bowl. Check the orientation
of the magnet with the compass.
Carry out this experiment with the
other magnets as well. If they are too
heavy for the polystyrene disk, simply
use another floating base, such as a
saucer.
