ACCESSORIES AND MISCELLANEOUS REPAIR

Park the mower safely. (See “Park Mower Safely” on
page 1-6.)

Remove the mow/transport speed lever. (See
“Mow/Transport Speed Lever” on page 9-7.)

Disconnect mow speed switch (29) from mower
harness.

If installed, remove forward switch (30) from mower.

Remove screw (1), three washers (2) and nyloc nut
(3) from pedal pivot (32).

Remove rod end (4) and jam nut (5) from end of
traction cable.

Remove retaining ring (6) and move traction cable (7)
away from pedal assembly.

Remove forward stop screw (12), reverse stop screw
(14) and nuts (11 and 13).

Remove four screws (

), washers (9) and nuts (10).

10. Lift traction pedal assembly out and away from

machine.

11. Remove two screws (15), washers (16), flange nuts

(17) and pedal (1

). Remove forward and reverse

pedal grips (19 and 20) from pedal.

12. Remove four screws (21), washers (22) and flange

nuts (23).

13. Remove two pivot brackets (24) and lift pedal pivot

(32) out of pedal plate (31).

14. Remove screws (26), washers (27), nuts (2

), mow

speed switch (29) and forward switch (30).

Assembly Notes

• Inspect pivot bushings (25) in pivot brackets (24) for

wear or damage. Replace if necessary.

• Assemble in reverse order of disassembly.

• Apply grease that meets or exceeds NLGI Grade 2

LB specifications to all pivot points.

• Adjust forward and reverse speeds with stop screws

(12 and 14). (See “Speed Stop Adjustments” on
page 5-22.)

• Check forward switch (17) adjustment. (See “Forward

Proximity Switch” on page 4-69.)

Remove mow stop screw (1) and nut (2).

Remove screw (3), washers (4), flange nut (5) and
mow speed lever (6).

Remove nut (7) and detent screw (

Remove two screws (9), washers (10), flange nuts
(11) and pivot bracket (12).

Installation Notes

• Install the mow/transport speed lever by reversing

the order of removal.

• Adjust the mow speed with stop screw (1). (See

“Speed Stop Adjustments” on page 5-22.)

• Adjust the detent screw (8) to allow the mow speed

lever (6) to rotate, and hold the lever in the mow and
transport position.
